SHOOT DARK by Alterscape
Participate in the first monthly SHOOT DARK Second Life Photo Contest celebrating stories we create in the metaverse. Hosted by Alterscape, we invite all photographers and creatives to capture a frame and tell a story. Featuring L$ prizes up to $15,000.
Each month, a new destination and theme will inspire our monthly photo contest. Participants will capture the essence, atmosphere, and underlying narratives of selected locations in Second Life.
ELIGIBILITY:
Photo must be taken at an Alterscape region:
Hathian (Gritty Urban Streets of The Crack Den)
Black Bottom (Columtreal University Campus)
Laveau (Backwaters – Where Only Danger Lurks)
Batterie (Beach Boardwalk)
District 8 (Downtown)
→ Any Other Connected Regions OK
❶ Post it on Flickr and in the Shoot Dark Contest Group (www.flickr.com/groups/alterscape/)
❷ Title formatted to "Shoot Dark Contest by Alterscape – Submission # – [sl legacy name]"
❸ Include the scene SLURL and name of region in the description of your scene
❹ Write a brief quote or post as if the frame itself was telling the story
❺ Use the hashtags #ShootDark #Alterscape #ShootDarkOctober
❻ Cross submit to related Second Life photography groups pools

2nd place: L$3,000
3rd place: L$2,000

When visiting a region, you may end up in the lobby – explore the region to find your first space!
Be respectful of the role-play environment and keep chatter to a minimum or in IMs
Pictures must be new (with the earliest publication date of October 15th, 2023) and original with no copyright infringement
Contest is 18+ however no hardcore pornography is permitted, but tasteful nudity is fine
