After being asked repeatably by our customers to make a riding horse, the new RealHorse Rider. an animesh riding horse, is now available.

Based on the highly detailed RealHorse avatar, we have created a new animesh riding horse that is simple, easy to use, and elegant. The RealHorse Rider is backwards compatible with all of our existing RealHorse Coat and Eye appliers. It features a fully synced Horse-Rider jump, and includes easily accessible walk, trot, canter and jump capability. It is fully compatible with the DLD Dragon Lance Designs jousting system as well as most other combat lances.

The RealHorse Rider is available in 3 breeds: Cleveland Bay, Straight Egyptian Arabian, and Quarter Horse. Each breed is available in 5 different tack styles: English, Dressage, Western, Sidesaddle, and Armored.

Each package includes both stallion and mare versions; one or more gesture HUDs (depending on style), and a full texture HUD with 6 coats, 4 eye options, 16 hair options, 10 horseshoe options, and multiple tack/pad/accessories options, as well as tinting capability of all except the horse’s body. Additional appliers are available separately.

The horses are applier driven to change options and allow extensive customization.

Each style of horse offers different features:

The Dressage version comes with leg wraps and a special extended HUD with dressage animations, including a formal half camel bow and a levade.

The Sidesaddle version includes a sidesaddle skirt drape and a complementing riding habit with accessories, and is compatible with the Grand National sidesaddle accessories including the animated sidesaddle whip and parasols.

The Western version includes a special western AO with western animations.

The English Hunter version includes a braided mane and tail, and a synced rider and horse sequence over the fences. It releases with a specially designed Jump Course created just for the RealHorse Rider. The Jump Course is sold separately.

And finally, the Armored version of the RealHorse Rider includes authentically created German Gothic armor with barding that flows with the horse. We have worked with the makers of the DLD Dragon Lance jousting system to create a horse that can be used with their jousting system. It includes special features that this community asked for: the ability to drop the head in the charge, a special salute gesture for the horse, and above all, animations in horse and rider that work in jousting, horseback sword fighting, melee, archery, and more. This spectacular horse works out of the box with a simple lance calibration. It is compatible with most of the lance systems available.

The RealHorse Rider is buy-and-go. There is no learning curve to learn to ride it or manage its gesture or texture HUD, You simply buy, open, add and go.

**** What the RealHorse Rider is not ****

* It is not a rezzable pet or a wanderer.

We chose to create a highly-detailed, natural and realistic horse, which meant we made the decision to not deprecate the quality of our horse models. This means the finished horse is high fidelity and as a result, high land impact. You can, of course, rez them, but don’t be surprised at the land impact! The RealHorse Rider will animate when rezzed, but it does not wander.

* It is not modifiable or transferable.

Modifying the horse often breaks the scripting or the animesh capability. A broken horse makes no one happy, so, "No Mod." This does not mean that you cannot customize the horse. There are plenty of texture appliers available to help you do just that!

* It is not transferable.
This means you can make as many copies of your horse as you like. If you would like to make a gift, our vendors and the Marketplace both support this ability.

* It is not complicated or hard to use.

This horse puts the fun back in horse ownership with a highly detailed, visually compelling, realistic horse that you simply add and ride, just like you move your avatar. The Rider is simple. The gesture HUD is simple. The texture HUD is simple.

* It is not overly scripted or nor does it have high avatar rendering cost.

The horse uses just over 1100 Kb of memory. The horse with the highest rendering cost horse has Rank 1 ARC with less than 38,400 complexity cost.

*It is not expensive.

We kept scope creep to a minimum in order to deliver a simple, easy to use, elegant riding horse that can be used in a range of horse sports. The price reflects our care in project management, and we pass those cost savings along to you.

* It is not a Beta version.

The RealHorse Rider has been extensively tested by our production team and with the communities who plan to use it. We made the feature changes they requested. We tested those changes. The RealHorse Rider is a finished, complete product. As ever, we do not test with our customer base.

The new RealHorse Rider: Simple. Easy. Elegant.
